At your viewing session you can take the opportunity to look through all my product samples before placing any orders.
New-born Photoshoot Sessions
I recommend having a photo shoot when your baby is 4 – 14 days old to ensure the best moments are captured.
My newborn session is a time for you to relax, sit back whilst I photograph your precious bundle of joy. As I like to leave plenty of time for feeding and soothing baby these session typically last between 3 hours.
If you had your maternity session with me, no session fee required. We can arrange a call together to go through how you are feeling and how baby is settling. I will then send you an electronic session contract; once the contract is returned your session date is secured.
If you did not have a maternity session with me I will send you an email with an electronic session contract and an invoice for your session fee. This can be paid via bank transfer, cheque or cash. Once the contract is returned and payment complete your session date is secured.
I provide all props and setups including lovely wraps and beautiful new-born photographic outfits for baby to be photographed in. However, in our pre-shoot consultation we can discuss any special or sentiment items you would like to incorporate into your session. You might want to bring some of the items you were photographed in at your maternity session like baby’s booties.
I would like you to have relaxed session, and to achieve this I have found the following things work:
Please try and keep baby awake for a period for time before you leave for your session.
Please put your baby in a onezie that can be easily removed for us to start the shoot without disturbance to baby.
Regular feed top-ups are the norm throughout the session so please bring an extra feed or two if you are bottle feeding.
Please bring a couple of dummies if at all possible (even if baby just uses one occasionally) as this ca help sooth baby which being changed or moved. Keeping a happy baby during these times really helps to settle them back to sleep for the photos.
I have many lovely wraps and beautiful new-born photographic outfits for baby to be photographed in. However, please bring any outfits you would to have them in as well as a plain white vest.
My studio will be heated to the correct temperature for a baby to feel very comfortable whilst being changed.
Yes, if baby is happy to do so. Please see ‘ What do I need to do in preparation for my newborn session’. This has some great tips for ensuring baby is happy to be photographed, changed and handle.
However, if your baby is a little older than 2 weeks old, they like to stretch out a little more so some of the poses might not be possible but I am very patient and will happily wait for baby to settle into the poses.
I like to incorporate some family photos into the session as this records the moment as you all as a new family. If you already have a child(ren) then I like to photograph family and sibling with your new-born baby at the start of the session. After this is done, one parent can take them home or go for a walk whilst I focus on the solo photos of baby.

Maternity Photoshoot Sessions
I recommend having your photoshoot when you are 33 – 36 weeks pregnant. This way you will have a beautiful baby bump and hopefully not fully too uncomfortable so your session will be enjoyable.
Once you have decided that I am the right photographer for you, please drop me a message so we can arrange a call together to go through your specific session.
I will then send you an electronic session contract and an invoice for your session fee. This can be paid via bank transfer, cheque or cash. Once the contract is returned and payment complete your session date is secured.
Sometimes we can plan everything perfectly but nature has it’s own timescale. If baby arrives before your shoot date, I can issue you a refund or you are very welcome to use your session fee towards a new-born shoot. However, if you are feeling poorly, we can reschedule for a few days later.
These sessions tend to last no more than 1 hour. However, for sessions with siblings my sessions can las 1-2 hours.
Please feel free to bring items you like and feel comfortable in. A nice vest or t-shirt with leggings or maternity jeans work very well. I would suggest bring some nice underwear, black and white options are always helpful for wearing under some of my beautiful maternity dresses.
In our pre-shoot consultation we can discuss any special or sentiment items you would like to incorporate into your session. Some mums like to bring their scan photos and baby booties. Little things like this can add an extra special touch.
The focus in these sessions is you and your bump. My main aim is to get you feeling relaxed and comfortable as I know what it’s like being heavily pregnant. It is also nice to have your husband or partner in the photos too.
I use my posing and lighting knowledge to photography you in a flattering manner that suits your body type. Don’t let this worry hold you back from having these types of photographs taken. You will love looking back at them in the years to come, as will your baby!

Family Photoshoot Sessions
I offer studio and outdoor photo sessions. With both of these I will tailor the shoot to suit your family.
As no two families are the same, I like to have a pre-shoot consultation to get to know you and your family a little more. This way, I will be able gauge how I will go about capturing their true smiles.
My sessions last an hour and a half to two hours. However, sometimes they are longer if we are on a role but occasionally they are a little shorter if you have slightly younger children.
I will email you some clothing and colour suggestions, these are normally linked to the season. If you still have any questions regarding this, they can be cleared up at our pre-shoot consultation; this takes place at my cosy studio or by phone.
I will advise in plenty of time of the photoshoot anything you may want or need to bring with you. This could be anything from children’s toys and snacks to sentimental family items that you would like to incorporate into the session. In our pre-shoot consultation we can discuss any specific requirements.
We can discuss any special requirements, confirm your styling and run through the session specifics. My goal here is to ensure your expectations of your shoot is met at the highest standard possible.
My outdoor sessions are generally booked with the understand that the date or time might need to be flexible. I will be watching the weather forecast on the run up to your shoot day and we make a final decision the day before.
Being a mum of two, and an ex-teacher I understand exactly how children have their good days and not so good days! Please don’t worry, I have many tricks up my sleeve to encourage some participation and little smiles. Sometimes, having a little break and a snack half way through really helps.
This all depends on what has made them poorly and to what extent. Please call me and we can work out a solution or reschedule.
If you, or anyone in your family are showings symptoms of Covid-19, please remain at home and follow government guidelines.
